Plagius now has the capability to detect if a text was generated by a text generator, such as ChatGPT. The feature works through writing pattern recognition. In general, a human's writing style differs from the pattern of texts produced by AI, which allows identifying possible artificial passages.
This analysis is not 100% accurate. There are techniques to hinder detection, and it's also possible for a person to write similarly to AI-generated text. Still, the feature is useful in the current reality of text production.
The V5 model analyzes each paragraph together with the surrounding passages, providing a more consistent assessment throughout the document. It has been improved to recognize texts produced by different generative AI tools and to reduce false positives in human-written texts.
In the results, each flagged passage shows the probability of having been generated by AI and the confidence level of the analysis. This information helps interpret the detected signs, but should not be considered a definitive conclusion.
At this time, AI detection is available only for texts in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. Texts in other languages will not be analyzed by AI detection and will be ignored by the program.
To use it, simply check the "Enable AI detection" option, accept the terms of use, and run the analysis.
In the result, the information appears below each paragraph:
